Hi, Iām Kirsten!
As an Interior Designer, I am passionate about spaces that tell stories.
In 2017, I created Studio Cepa in an effort to pursue projects that could make a bigger impact in my community. I love to collaborate directly with end users and see firsthand how a well designed space instills pride and joy in them. Your space should not define you, but it does tell a story. Curating that story and creatively sharing it with others is the reason I love this profession. To me, every space is craving to tell a narrative as compelling as the people who occupy it, and this process of visual storytelling is where my creativity thrives.
I have worked on projects both large + small, modern + historic, residential + commercial. I aim to craft spaces that blur the lines between traditionally defined spaces and instead create beautiful interiors that are as unique and layered as we are as humans. As a homeowner to a historic 1890s home that underwent a full rehabilitation, I have a special appreciation for the care and attention necessary to breathe new life into old buildings. I love the challenge that is inherent with historic dwellings; marrying modern lifestyles and historic details to create a timeless and classic interior that reflects the style of the user.
Currently, I work directly with clients, organizations and architectural firms in a variety of capacities. My expertise spans from workplace interiors, multi-family, hospitality, residential, and historic revitalization. I also teach in the Interior Design program at my alma mater, Maryville University. You can find more about my experience on LinkedIn.
